You can get rocks from your local Michaels or go on a walk and find some. You can also easily get paint or other materials that you would want to use at Target, Michaels, or Jo Ann Fabrics. 2. Science Experiments Science experiments are super fun when you are doing it with your friends/family! Board Games Play old iconic board games like Chutes and Ladders, Clue, CandyLand, Sorry, Connect 4, and Guess Who. You can also play family games like Monopoly, Scattergories and Taboo. Something fun is to create your own board game for your family to play. 4. Bake Something You can bake sweet delicacies like cupcakes, brownies, or cookies. You can also cook dinner with your parents, and it’s a great way to pass the time! 5. Hot Chocolate and a Movie It is always fun to relax with your family! You can watch a Disney movie or maybe one you created, and snuggle in with your family. Hot chocolate is great for the winter time, and it is also super yummy. 6. Go on a Walk You can go outside and walk around by yourself, or with your family. Nature is a great way to clear the mind and de-stress. It can also be beneficial if you have a pet that needs to be taken on walks regularly. 7. Read a Book There's always that book you want to read, but you’re reading like 3 other ones, and you just never get around to reading it. Well, here’s your chance to read that book. We recommend The Hunger Games, A Mango Shaped Space, and The Mysterious Benedict Society. You can also find hundreds of books online. 8. Fill Out a Crossword Puzzle or Word Search If you have a newspaper, read the comics and fill out the crossword. If you feel inspired, you can also make your own word search or crossword puzzle, and challenge your family to do it too. 9. Write a Story Use your boredom to do something productive. Write a story about anything on your mind, the sky's the limit! You can develop characters, create a setting, make a plot, and just BE creative. Have fun with your story, and you will have done something productive. 10. Learn to Edit Photos When you’re bored of your house, why not make it look like you’re on a beach? There's tons of cool photo editing apps you can use to make it look like you traveled the world, and you can have done it from the comfort of your bedroom. Some of the best free editing apps are Bazaart Photo Editor and Adobe Photoshop Express.
