Presidents day originated in the 1880’s when George Washington's birthday was first celebrated as a federal holiday. 

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a floating patch of garbage that is 5,800,000 sq mi and can be seen from space. It is located in the Pacific Ocean in between Hawaii and California. There are a lot of problems that this dump pile creates but one of the biggest problems is pollution impacting both animals and humans.

President Biden recently announce d a new security partnership with the UK, the US and Australia called AUKUS. The partnership will focus on challenges in the Indo-Pacific region. The challenges include China's increased military presence in the region and increased pressure against Taiwan to keep democracy in the region. Anonymous White House sources say that the agreement is meant to counter the influence of China in the region. However, the leaders of the three countries have not mentioned this.
