Developed by JustPlay.lol, JustFall.lol is a relatively small TNT like game that requires no download and is unblocked for chrome books and can also be downloaded on mobile. This combined with simple and easy to understand rules and a party mode that lets you play with up to 8 friends makes this an ideal game to play during free time in the school day, especially during lunch when you are inside with a Chromebook and some friends. Those are everything you need to have a fun time with this game.
When you first go to the site you see several options. In the middle, your penguin is shown and to the top left off, there are several settings such as a box where you can alter your name, a full-screen button, a settings gear where you can change controller sensitivity, a shirt where you can change your penguins color and a play button which takes you to back to the main screen. To your left you can see a plus sign that leads to a party mode option with two buttons, create and join. Create makes a party and gives you the code required for others to join the specific party. If you know a code for a party then click the plus button and type it in then you'll all join the same game when the host starts it.
Speaking of starting, to your right on the screen you have a win count that saves as long as you use the same computer. You will also see a chosen mode play and two boxes (practice and multiplayer). You click practice without a party then you get to try the games as a single-player, but if you’re in a party then only people in the party can play. If you click multiplayer alone then you get put into a lobby with random people and in a party, random people will merely be added into your game.
But before you do that you should pick a game mode. As of writing this, there are only two game modes: Hexagon and Just Jump. When you click choice mode it makes the two modes appear. The mode you have selected has a checkmark and that will be the mode that you play when you start the game. You can also click both modes which randomly choose which mode is played. Also if you click your penguin they dance and the other people in your party can see this so it can get some funny results.
The goal of this is to be the last penguin standing. When you start the game you fall on to the first of three hexagons, each below each other, and all of these are made of smaller hexagons which when you step on, begin to break making you fall to the hexagon below. If you fall below all 3 of the hexagons you lose. To help you avoid this fate, you have several abilities. You can use the arrow keys or WASD to move (out of the 2, I prefer the arrow because wasd is right next to the other buttons you need so you accidentally hit stuff you didn't mean to). You can use the cursor to change the camera, but I recommend only doing this while falling since it takes away the attention of the game. You can also Jump with space and use shift to dive. You can dive without jumping but it's slower than walking or jumping so will probably make you fall. When jumping it makes you fall slower and move forward more but it's risky because you get up slowly so if you're not quick enough you'll likely fall. You're gonna need to use these moves at the start of every round since you all spawn close together.
This mode is less complicated than Hexagon but it's still just as fun and best of all the same controls apply so it's easy to get the hang of even if you have only played the other mode. You and your opponents only stand on one hexagon now. Luckily the blocks don’t fall when you step on them like in hexagon but instead, they randomly fall every once in a while randomly to mix the game up. In the middle is a massive rotating wheel with a top and bottom layer. You're gonna have to jump to avoid the bottom section and be sure not to when the top one comes along. You must also be aware that both parts of the wheel can change speeds meaning for brief periods the top and bottom align on top of each other and all you can do is run.
The controls feel weird and janky when you're still getting used to them but once you master them you feel right at home jumping and diving as you try to cut off other players. But don’t fear that the game will stop being fun after you become a pro. No my penguin friend, the game requires so much precise work that skilled players can get first and last place all in one party. This simple understanding of the game has so many complex strategies and factors that even beginners can get a taste of sweet sweet victory. Read Hugos Just fall article for strategies you can use to finish on top in the game.
