Coonley Teacher Appreciation Week

Monday, May 3rd through Friday, May 7th 2021, was Coonley’s Teacher Appreciation Week. This week is very important to recognize and thank teachers for their hard work and dedication to help students. It is especially important during the pandemic, where teachers have an extra challenge of teaching kids online. 

On Sunday, Coonley students went to the school to write messages of appreciation for the staff members. Due to the rain, some of the chalk art got washed away. However, we still have some lovely pictures. 

The messages also gave thanks to our enrichment teachers, including Ms. Wiltse and Mr. W. Every subject in school is important and beneficial to kids' lives later on, and every teacher in this school has taught the students something new. 

Not only is this appreciation week for the teachers, but also for the other staff members. We have to take the time to thank our nurse, helping us if we are hurt or sick, and our security guard, keeping us safe. The janitors here are also very important and kind, picking up after us daily. One specific picture shouted out the wonderful lunchroom staff, taking time and effort to feed children, even throughout the deadly coronavirus pandemic. 

Thank you teachers and staff members, for helping kids learn, even throughout the pandemic. Thank you for for being heroes to the children of Coonley.
